The Geographical location of Bahawalnagar are Latitude 24.418068 & Longitude 71.670685.The Government Poultry Farm, Bahawalpur was established To distribute the better productive birds to domestic poultry keepers to enhance the nutrition of general public and Research on different aspects of poultry farming. This farm is working under the Directorate of Poultry Research Institute Rawalpindi, L&DD Punjab. Contributing to the uplift of rural poultry in the area.

- To provide better productive birds (poultry units) for rearing as rural poultry
- To provide guidance for modern poultry farming to gain a sustainable livelihood
- To conduct problem oriented research work for improvement of poultry industry
